Day 01:  Delhi - Arrival
On arrival at the Delhi airport our representative greets you and transfers you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up, change and relax and enjoy leisure time at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 02:  Delhi Sightseeing
Raj GhatAfter healthy breakfast at the hotel enjoy sightseeing of Delhi, the capital city of India. The magnificent Red Fort built of red sandstone dates from the very peak of the Mughal power.  Within its walls are marble palaces and a grand audience chamber, the Diwan-i-Khas where Mughal emperors held court and the Peacock Throne stood.  Opposite the fort are the black and white onion dome and minarets of the Jama Masjid, the most elegant mosque in India. Drive past Kotla Firoze Shah, ruins of an old fort of the 14th century with the 13 meter high Ashoka Pillar of 3rd BC. Visit Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated in 1948.

Drive through the old city subject to traffic restrictions. New Delhi – In New Delhi there are several wonderful tourist attractions.   Drive past the Presidential Palace, the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the secretariat buildings - the centre of all government activity and  down the main avenue, the impressive Rajpath to the World War I memorial arch, the India Gate, the High Court Building and the Old Fort.  Visit Humayun’s Tomb built in 1565 AD by his inconsolable widow Haji Begum, the Qutub Minar, 72 meters high and the ruins of Quwat-ul-Eslam (Light of Islam) Mosque.  See Delhi’s most curious antique, the uncorroded Iron Pillar, which dates back to the 4th century AD. Visit the Birla (Laxmi Narayan) Temple, with its many idols. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.Book Your Tour

Day 03:- Delhi – Jaipur
After hearty breakfast drive to Jaipur the city fondly known as the City of Victory. On arrival our representative greets you and transfers you to the hotel. Later in the afternoon proceed for the City Tour of Jaipur enjoy photo-stop at Hawa Mahal - the palace of wind. Later visit the City Palace and the apartment housing museums with an array of textiles, costumes, arms, weapons and paintings and finally visit Jantar-Mantar, the observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh-II. Also visit to City Palace and Laxmi Narayan Temple if time permits. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 04: Jaipur - Agra
After breakfast at the hotel visit to Amber Fort. It is one of the most beautiful forts in the state of Rajasthan. After Hawa Mahalthe visit drive to Agra Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of India. Fatehpur Sikri - an epic poem in red sandstone, built by Emperor Akbar the Great in 1569 and deserted 14 years later because its water supply failed.  Its glorious courtyards and palaces conjure up dreams of the mysterious past. Buland Darwaza, the victory gate looms 134 feet high.  There’s the imperial Jama Masjid, the tomb of Shaik Salim Chisti who predicted the birth of Akbar’s son Jehangir, the Panch Mahal, a strange building which resembles a Buddhist Temple, a cloistered courtyard which was the Hall of Public Audience, and the Pachchisi paved with black and white where the Emperor played chess using slave girls as figurines.  Due to the fact that for most it’s existence this city was deserted, damage to the interiors is minimum by the many different rulers that ruled after Akbar. After the visit continue your drive to Agra, arrive and check into your Hotel.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 05:- Agra Sightseeing

After the visit proceed for the half day tour of Agra, visit the Taj Mahal one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Taj Mahal spell binding beauty appeals tourists from all over the world in Agra.  Agra Fort, Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb, etc are other tourist attractions of the Agra City. Day 06: Agra – Jhansi – Khajuraho
After healthy breakfast at the hotel drive to Agra Railway Station to board train for Jhansi. On arrival at Jhansi, drive to Khajuraho. Check into the pre-booked hotel Khajuraho for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 07: Khajuraho Sightseeing
After the breakfast enjoy the sightseeing of Khajuraho. It is renowned for its striking temples adorned with Erotic Khajurahoexquisite sculpture. Around the Khajuraho temples are bands of exceedingly fine and artistic stonework. The sculptors have shown many aspects of Indian life 1000 years ago - gods and goddesses, warriors and musicians real and mythical animals.  But two elements appear over and over again and in greater detail than anything else – women and sex. The bands / panals show erotic couples which represent a paean to life, to love and to joy.  The most famous are the Kandariya Mahadev, the Chaturbhuj, the Parswanath and the Ghantai - the summit of Hindu sculpture: voluptuous forms; human and divine, throbbing with life and inspiring in expression.  Some believe that the carving illustrates the Kama Sutra, the sensuality outside the temple contrasting with the serenity within. While others believe that they illustrate ritual symbolism of sexual intercourse in Tantric belief, as the Chandelas were followers of the Tantric cult. After the temple tour of Khajuraho return back on time to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 08: Khajuraho – Varanasi
Enjoy healthy breakfast at the hotel. Later our representative transfers you to board flight for Varanasi. On arrival, check into the pre-booked hotel to freshen up and relax. Later enjoy sight seeing of Varanasi city. Visit to Bharat Mata Temple, dedicated to Mother India. Emperor Aurangazeb’s Mosque built in the 17th century on the site of a Hindu Temple. The rear of the mosque reveals specimens of the ancient temple art of India. Visit to Vishwanath Temple (Golden Temple) erected by Rani Ahalyabai Holkar of Indore in 1776.  The shikharas of the temple are gold plated. Visit Benaras Hindu University, a great seat of oriental learning.  It started as a centre of education in Sanskrit, Indian art, culture and music. Visit the Durga (Goddess of Power) Temple popularly known as the Monkey Temple because of hundreds of monkeys in the courtyard. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel. Book Your Tour

Day 09: Varanasi (Boat Ride over River Ganges)  
In the Morning enjoy the Boat ride on the holy River Ganges, Over three miles in length, steps lead down from a steep bank to the sacred river. The time to see the Ghats is early dawn when out of the morning mist, forms descend the steps, their numbers increasing by the minute until a silent multitude, lit by the sun’s first rays, moves in the same direction to immerse itself in the holy stream and to salute the sun.  These rituals remind one of the nature worship prevalent in India during the Aryan age, 3,000 years ago.  The ghats extend to almost four miles of riverbank.  During this particular sightseeing no monuments are visited. See the Bathing Ghats, Cremation Ghats, The Gyanvapi Mosque built in the 17th century when the fanatical Emperor Aurangazeb’s pulled down the original Vishwanath Golden Temple and on its site raised a mosque. After the boat ride visit the Golden Temple and walk through the narrow lanes of Varanasi.  These narrow cobbled lanes have stories to tell with large numbers of humanity passing through them daily, all looking for ‘Nirvana’ – a release from the cycle of rebirth. Return back to Hotel for Lunch.

Later visit Sarnath 10 kms from Varanasi - The Buddha preached his first sermon to five disciples at the Deer Park Varanasi Ghathere, enshrining the principals of his teaching into laws.  The Dhamek Stupa marks the location of a once resplendent monastery.  A large complex of ruined monasteries covers the area north of the Stupas. Some of the buildings belong to the Kushan and Gupta period. The first monk communities probably settled here in the 3rd century BC.  Near the Dhamek Stupa is a new monastery built by the Buddhist Mahabodhi Society.  The major events of Buddha’s life are depicted here in wall paintings by a Japanese artist.  Sarnath has an interesting archaeological museum which has preserved the famous Sarnath pillar whose capital forms India’s national emblem. After the visit have buffet lunch at local restaurant. Return back to Hotel. Rest of the day is to relax.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 10: Varanasi – Kathmandu
After hearty breakfast at the hotel our representative transfers you to International airport to board flight for Kathmandu. Day 11: Lumbini Sightseeing

Lumbini-a place in the South-Western Terai of Nepal, evokes a kind of holy sentiment to the millions of Buddhists all over the world-as do the Jerusalem to Christians and Mecca to Muslims. Lumbini is the place Lord Buddha -the apostle of peace and the light of Asia was born in 623 B. C., Located in the flat plains of south-Western Nepal and the foothills of Churia range , Lumbini and its surrounding area is endowed with a rich natural setting of domesticable fauna and favorable agricultural environment. Historically, the region is a beautiful treasure-trove of ancient ruins and antiquities, dating back to pre-Christian era. The site, described as a beautiful garden in the Buddha’s time still retains its legendary charm and beauty. To the mere 12 miles north of Lumbini lies the dense and picturesque Sal-grove.

LumbiniFor centuries, Buddhists- all over the world, knew that Lumbini where the Lord was born is somewhere around. The descriptions of famous Chinese pilgrims (of ancient times) Huian Tsang and Fa-Hein indicated to this area-saying ‘Lumbini-where the lord was born is a piece of heaven on earth and one could see the snowy mountains amidst a splendid garden-embedded with Stupas and monasteries. After the picturesque and holy tours of Lumbini, return back on time to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 12: Lumbini – Kathmandu – Onward Destination
After healthy breakfast drive back to Kathmandu to board flight for home/onwards destination.
